One of the most esthetic and durable all-ceramic restorations available today is the Lava™ All-Ceramic System from 3M ™ ESPE™ used in conjunction with N-Style™ porcelain. This Cad/Cam system for the construction of high-strength, metal-free all-ceramic crowns and bridges can be used for a wide range of esthetic restorations for both the anterior and posterior. It provides high fracture-resistance, an outstanding marginal fit, and superior biocompatibility.

What makes the Lava System unique is its framework. Made of a milled zirconium oxide base, the framework has an outstanding marginal fit in addition to its strength.

This means that the tooth requires less preparation and anterior esthetics are easier to achieve. A basic chamfer margin is all that is required—no special designs are needed. Standard cementation procedures can be followed without the need for any special cement kits. The Lava System is strong enough for 3-unit bridges and does not distort when firing the porcelain. Lava frameworks are also colored to match the final overlaying shade with eight different shades available, and since they are so thin they guarantee a highly translucent and natural appearance.

 Most importantly, we combine the Lava System with our custom N-Style™ porcelain system. We utilize veneering ceramic that matches all the existing shade guides and is compatible with the software for all the current digital shade-taking systems. The N-Style™ ceramic system allows for the creation of the most esthetic restorations possible.
