The medical industry has been using
titanium very successfully for years.
It’s the perfect material for artificial joints,
bone pins and replacements.
It’s also being used in heart valves,
pacemakers and hearing devices.
NobelBiocare has been at the forefront
of new Titanium Technology.
The dental industry began using titanium
in the 1960s when Per Branemark
discovered the biocompatible bonding
principles for titanium and bone.
But recent strides in titanium processing
promise to make it more valuable than
ever before in dental prosthetics.
The main advantages to Titanium is
Bio-compatibility, Superior lightness,
Accurate fit, Superior appearance,
Low thermal conductivity and Neutral taste.
In the early 80’s The Procera division
was formed and Custom milled titanium
frames were created. Implant frames
are lighter and more precise in Titanium.
We were the first lab to deliver those
frameworks. Due to some design
concerns it was decided to hold off the
commercial distribution on theses frames.
With the present day Procera System
we can custom mill Titanium copings for
ceramic crowns. Now after ten years of
research, design modifications and test
case studies we can now re introduce
the milled titanium implant frame as All-In-One.
Today's Titanium frames as opposed to
the earlier ones can be ceramic fused
to Titanium or composite . We have developed
a new protocol to achieve these All-In-One
Frames. Furthermore since the frame is
milled and there are no gold cylinders
needed, the frame is less expensive
then cast frames.
