In our untiring effort to improve upon
esthetics and maximize cosmetics,
we have incorporated the X–Rite
Shade Vision System into our lab protocol.
The Shade Vision System is a hand-held,
cordless device with a precise, consistent
light source that ensures correct color
assessment. We use the Shade Vision
for the custom shades taken on the
premises. This system is also available
for in-office dentist use.
Dentists using the Shade Vision System
can take an accurate reading in three
simple steps: Attach the disposable tip,
calibrate the system and measure the
shade of the tooth surface. Once the
images are captured, the Shade Vision
System uploads the images to the dentist’s
personal computer for processing and
documentation in the patient’s files.
Through an electronic file, disc or printed
report of the color map, the accurate shade
information is communicated to the lab.
The Shade Vision System has many unique
features that other digital shade matching
systems lack, including the “Virtual Try-In
Feature,” which allows the lab technician
to virtually test the shade of the restoration
before it is sent back to the dentist.
When the Shade Vision System is used in
conjunction with our Ceramic protocol system,
we guarantee the most esthetic cosmetic
restorations available, from laminates, Empress
and Procera crowns to Captek and Gramm Crowns.
